We check tablet sale prices on entry-level and mid-range models, as well as high-end, big-screen tablets that can replace a laptop.

Like all tech products, tablets are constantly being updated. This means there are plenty of deals on last-generation iPads and tablets, as well as occasional discounts on the latest models. Here, we list the best genuine tablet deals available now.

Best iPad and tablet deals for April 2025

We check top retailers to find the best deals on tablets and iPads. We only include offers on tablets that do well in our lab tests, so if a tablet doesn't meet a decent standard, you won't find it on this list – even if it's been heavily reduced.

It's a premium tablet that's cheaper than the tablets in Samsung's flagship range and seeing great discounts.

The FE's processor isn't miles away from the one you'd find in a mid-range laptop. The screen's specifications should make content look sharp and move smoothly when you're browsing.

Best iPad deals

It's rare to see a current iPad with a discount but we managed to find some great deals.

Apple iPad Mini (2024)

• 8.3-inch screen
• A17 Pro processor and 8GB of Ram
• 2,266 x 1,488-pixels display

We like: Portable and lightweight

We don’t like: Screen will be too small for some

Apple kept us waiting for a new iPad Mini from Apple for a while (from 2021 to be exact) and it finally arrived in late 2024 with an upgraded A17 Pro chipset and 8GB or Ram, ready for the latest Apple Intelligence features powered by onboard AI.

It's the smallest Apple iPad with an 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display with 2,266 x 1,488 pixel-resolution. Although it hasn't had a huge discount, it's still less than the RRP of £499.

Apple iPad Pro 13-inch 7th generation (2024)

We like: Bassy and powerful sound

We don’t like: Can’t have more than one user profile

The seventh generation iPad Pro is Apple's most powerful iPad yet. It has a list of features as long as your arm and some surprisingly original tech – like the display which is actually two OLED screens on top of each other – as well as the colossally powerful M4 processor. 

Although not a huge discount, you can still find it cheaper at a few online retailers rather than direct from Apple.

Apple iPad Pro 11-inch 7th generation (2024)

• 11.1-inch screen
• M14 processor and 8GB of Ram
• 1,668 x 2,420 pixel display

We like: Fast with great battery life

We don’t like: Can't have more than one user profile

This is the seventh generation 11-inch iPad Pro from Apple. It has dual-OLED displays (one on top of the other for extra brightness) and a M4 processor. It charges with a USB C cable and there's one in the box. However, you don't get a plug.

If you opt for a 256GB or 512GB, you'll get 8GB of Ram and a nine-core processor. The 1TB and 2TB options have 16GB of Ram and a 10-core processor. We reviewed the 256GB model.

Apple iPad Air 11-inch 6th generation (2024)

We like: Impressive processor and easy to use

We don’t like: Takes a while to charge

Originally released as a lighter, more powerful option than the standard iPad, this sixth-generation Air is actually heavier than the 2024 iPad Pros that were released alongside, but it's still got a beefier processor than the latest 2025 iPad.

The Air model we tested had a 128GB hard drive, which drops to 111GB when you factor in the operating system and built-in apps. There's also a 256GB, 512GB and 1TB option if you need more space.

Apple iPad 10th generation (2022)

We like: Runs quickly and intuitively

We don’t like: Speakers nothing to shout about

There's a decent deal to be had on this 10.9-inch iPad from Apple, which was released in 2022. Its A14 chip is powerful and apps load almost instantly – there's no stuttering or slowdown as you move from one to another.

The version we tested has 64GB of storage, but there's a 256GB model available, too. You can't expand the memory in any way, so make sure you buy one that's got enough for your needs.

Best Samsung Galaxy tab deals

Samsung is the most popular Android tablet manufacturer. It makes tablets that can compete with high-end iPads, but also has cheaper options if you don't need anything too powerful.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 64GB

• USB-C charging
• Runs the Android operating system

We like: Intuitive operating system

We don't like: Muffled speakers in our tests

This entry-level tablet with a small screen is currently on sale for the lowest price we've seen in the past six months. The screen has a resolution that's less than Full HD, but the eight-core processor has specifications that are impressive for this tablet's price.

If you're not sure if 64GB of storage is enough, you can expand it later with a micro SD card.

Best Android tablet deals

Google's tablet runs on the Android operating system, as do many Chinese brands' tablets. Honor, Lenovo and Xiaomi are all popular, offering several high-spec tablets for less than you might expect.

Honor Pad X9

• 11.4-inch screen
• 4GB of Ram
• 128GB of storage

We like: Simple to use

We didn't like: Dull screen, based on our tests

This 11.4-inch tablet has a sizeable screen that's about the same size as an iPad, and its 1,200 x 2,000 resolution means it’s a touch sharper than HD. An eight-core Snapdragon 635 processor powers the tablet, along with 4GB of Ram. 

The model we tested has 128GB of storage, which drops to 111GB once you factor in the operating system and pre-installed apps. There’s no micro-SD card to increase storage.

Lenovo Tab M11

We like: Brilliant battery life

We didn't like: Struggles with demanding apps

After Apple and Samsung, Lenovo is one of the biggest tablet brands around. Its releases high-end models designed to challenge iPad Pros, as well as cheaper tablets like this Tab M11 that’s priced around the same as a top-range Samsung or an Amazon Fire tablet.

The M11 instead has a 128GB hard drive, Full HD screen and a Helio G88 processor, which is backed up by 4GB of Ram. This tablet charges via a USB-C cable, which is supplied. You don’t get a plug, but Lenovo does include a stylus in the box.

Lenovo Tab Plus

• 11.5-inch screen
• MediaTek Helio G99 processor with 8GB of Ram
• 128GB of storage

We like: Quick to charge

We didn't like: Inferior speaker quality in our tests

This mid-range Lenovo tablet has a built-in kickstand that makes it bulkier than other tablets, but it comes in handy if you want to keep it upright. 

The display isn't as premium as more expensive devices, with a 1,200 x 2,000 resolution. However, it's not often you find a tablet with an 11.5-inch display at this price - and it's currently available for the cheapest price we've seen.

How to spot a good deal on an iPad or tablet

Amy Axworthy, Which? tablets expert, says: 

• iPads are rarely on offer, so any discount you spot is likely to be a good one. To double-check, the Apple store will show the iPad at the standard retail price so you can see if the deal is worthwhile.
• Look out for 'deals' that actually add a load of extra stuff you may not need, such as app subscriptions, styluses and cases. Odds are, if it's a 'starter pack offer' aiming to keep the price as close to the RRP as possible, another retailer will have it with a true discount and without all those unnecessary extras.
• Don't worry about buying an older tablet. Models released in 2022 or 2023 are still worth a look, but check our tablet software update policy page to make sure you'll still get plenty of updates in years to come.

Finding an iPad deal

The Apple website provides a good baseline of how much an iPad costs because Apple never discounts new models there. Knowing the true full price will make it easier to work out if you're getting a decent discount on other sites. Click to go to the Apple iPad website.

When shopping around for deals and looking at sale prices, be aware that there are multiple generations of iPads on sale at the same time, so make sure you know which one you're buying. Our best iPads guide will help you out. 

There’s nothing wrong with buying an older-generation iPad – it’s a great way to save money. But make sure you’re comparing like with like, rather than a newer, more expensive model with an older, cheaper one.

Refurbished models

Another way to keep costs down is to consider a refurbished tablet. Apple never has deals on new tablets, but there's a section on its official site for refurbished iPads that come with a one-year warranty. What’s available varies from one model to the next, but you should be able to save at least 20% on a refurbished tablet over a new one.

Finding a Microsoft Surface tablet deal

It’s sensible to start your search for a Surface tablet on the Microsoft Store website. 

This is the place to find the true price of the model and specification you’re after – and you may even find a discount while you’re there. It might be a simple discount on a specification, or it could be a discounted or free accessory when you buy a tablet at the full price.

If that doesn't work, it’s highly likely you’ll find a discount from various retailers. Make sure you check all the specifications and colour options, as discounts might only be on one or two of these at any one time.

Finding an Amazon Fire tablet deal

Amazon Fire tablets are competitively priced to start with, but deals do come along fairly regularly. You'll often find the best prices on the Amazon Fire site, and you can sometimes find decent discounts at Argos and Currys, among others. 

If there's nothing available on the day you search, you probably won't have to wait long for a discount to materialise. So, if you don’t need to buy now, it could pay to wait until a deal comes up.

Before you buy, bear in mind that not all manufacturers are equal when it comes to security updates. We've found that some only support their tablets for two to three years.
