How much is Shell Energy broadband?

Shell Energy offered a wide range of broadband packages, starting with average speeds of 11Mbps and going up to a speedy 944Mbps in some parts of the UK. Get help finding an alternative by entering your postcode below to check for the best deals across all providers in your area.

Shell Energy broadband speeds

Shell Energy offered both fast and superfast deals with phone line included. However, its full fibre deals don't include line rental as is increasingly common.

If you live in an area that has full fibre broadband services, you may also have signed up to one of Shell Energy's ultrafast broadband services with average speeds up to 944Mbps. The same speeds should also be offered by other Openreach providers in your area - for example BT, EE, Sky, TalkTalk, Vodafone or Zen Internet.

Does Shell Energy put up broadband prices every year?

Yes – if you took out a broadband connection with Shell Energy, it reserved the right to raise prices every April, by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rate of inflation as published in January, plus up to 3%. In 2024, it opted to add 2% to the CPI rate, meaning affected customers saw their price increase by 6% this spring.

What is the latest Shell Energy broadband router?

Shell Energy supplies standard broadband customers with a Technicolour DGA0122 router. If you take up one of its speedier Superfast Fibre, Superfast Fibre Plus and full fibre deals, you'll receive its Wi-Fi 6-capable router.
